Education Qualification
The applicant should have passed (10+2) examination with English as a subject and must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks at the aggregate at the qualifying examination from any stream (Arts/Commerce/Science) and must pass in English subject, from any recognized Board. Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by the State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS), recognized by the Central Government, 10+2 with English having 40% of marks in Vocational stream - Healthcare Science from a recognized CBSE Board/Centre.
Age & Sex
The candidate must be (Female only) between the ages of 17 to 35 years as on 31 December of the same year of the session.
Nationality
- She should be citizen of India.
- She shall be a resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least ten years, preceding the date of making the application for admission.
- The residential certificate should be issued by a Gazetted officer/MLA/ZillaParishad/Sabhadhipati/Mayor of Municipal Corporation.

Medical Fitness
Candidate should be medically fit.
Selection Procedure
Selection will be based on WBJEEB merit list and counselling.
Vacations & Holidays
As per norms laid down by West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council.
Examination
A Candidate shall be eligible for examination as per the rules laid down by the West Bengal Nursing Council & Indian Nursing Council.
Registration
The students who are declared successful in the final year examination are eligible for registration with the W.B.N.C. as Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife.
